I stumbled on it recently, while googling for… Niklas & Friends 😆 

Is really just nice to see some positive recognition of Niklas and Friends

There is, however, one "trope" I did not understood to what it referred:

Recycled In Space: The premise of the spinoff is that Niklas and his friends meet some friendly Rubber-Forehead Alien kids and live adventures in space with them.

???

I think rubber-forehead aliens is a reference to many sci-fi shows, like star trek, just slapping some makeup on a person and calling them an alien despite the fact they look almost human.

I kinda hyper focused on just one part there though. Its saying the premise the aliens stories is just Niklas and Friends but in space. It's not really expanding the premise,  just changing the setting.

Whoever wrote that, did his homework rather well. Even some long time fans fail to notice that the only canonically gay character is indeed Randy Fox 😉 

@anthony honestly I had never really thought about who was or wasn't gay until I saw that. Definitely made me go "huh, I guess so." 😅

In my continued pokings around I found this on tvtropes.

There isn't anymore info about this "The Dark Past" fanfic that I've found yet, but I would hazard a guess it was someone's spin off of the Aliens spinoff. I had never heard of it before now.

Any thoughts?
